Artwork revives peoples memory and emotions:
Art and sentiments (testimonial)
Art, violin and our memory
Lucinda, just have a look at this! - called Ardenn inspirationally, pointing to the monitor. The Image on the sceeen was undoubtely breath-taking! Bright colours interwined each other, orange lines freely took neighbouring green curves.. And the highlight of this was an electric bluewish symbol..
- Where is beauty/ Where are ideas? And now people call this... art! Junk! These are not artists, these are ... painters whom one won't trust even to paint roofs in country-side houses!
Lucinda, having a fast look at the monitor, gently smiled at Ardenn and continued her knitting. She knew that such hot ... rejection will soon cool down, and her husband will again disappear in the world wide web of internet - in surfing for new galleries of unknown artists, complaining about untalanted and praising deserved artworks. Anyway, Lucinda was used to it - during 30 years of their marriage they both, hand by hand, went through many challenges and tragedies in life. Loss of relatives in the ruins of Leninakan, war, hunger, immigration to Canada... So she obviously won't spoil her nerves because of junk creations of some abstractionists. Moreover, Ardenn was collecting artworks all his life, and always, very emotiaonally praised or castigate those paintings.
She was right - after taking a tea break, Ardenn began to click mouse again, looking at a newly founded gallery. But this time it is surely was something different, since Ardenn was unusually silent. He was staring at the monitor for almost half an hour without a single comments.
What did you find? - asked Lucinda, putting aside her knitting.
- I don't even know what to say, - replied Ardenn softly. - rather come here, dear, and look for yourself.
Lucinda after a first glance became speechless. From the monitor, softly smiling with the edge of the lips, her grandmother was looking at her. Or not... All photos were left there, in Leninokan. In that house, that soon turned into dust.
- This picture I zoomed in.. - said Ardenn, - now here it is in full size.
And he clicked on the painting.
Lucinda couldn't control her emotions. Two tiny tears scrolled over her cheeks. Memory and combination of autumn's yellow-reddish colours, old photo, decorative ornaments and stylish silhouette of violin.
It is so.. harmonious... she said approvingly, after a few minutes of silence.
- So gentle. I like it, Arden.. I really like it!
She looked at Ardenn's eyes.
-
Yes, yes, beloved, I am thinking about the same things as you are, she heard the thoughts of her hubby. - I also remember, to tiny details, our small town, autumn by Aragar, blue waves of Sevana, and anxient churches, whose walls were decorated by skillful artists through many epoches.
All these memories were isntantly awaken by these newly found paintings... Many years of dear to heart memories were revived, in a blink of an eye.
- We will acquire these paintings, dear, will we? - asked Lucinda and Arden hugged her tightly. - Not just that, dear, - he comforted her, - we will write to this artist and will find out more.......
